My friend, Onyedika was a kind and generous person who lived an epitome of charity as a life. He was a strong person too and this strength shone through during his struggles as a hustlepreneur. Even though he was tremendously stressed, he always remained strong and never wanted attention focused on his predicaments. He wanted everyone to continue on their lives and was more concerned with how we were doing and if we were happy.
I can remember how often he covered for my expenses and shortcomings. He was ever ready to make any sacrifice to ensure business was headed forward. He sent a clear message of sacrificial way of living even to the unworthy of his love. Dika spent every moment of his life powering solutions to relevant societal problems. Onyedika, how can I possibly explain the magnitude of synergy that existed between us to everybody reading this? I would just say he is my Man Crush Everyday (MCE).
Dika was born into a diligent family. He was highly intelligent and loved applications of technology. He was a hustlepreneur from day one, he sold on fiver during his university days. It was his hard work that earned him every bit of exposure he has garnered in this space. I would even say he was one of the most underrated tech icons. He bootstrapped his business and was on the verge of diversifying it into an important enterprise before death denied him that. He owned a software engineering company which provides technical support to a lot of important enterprises. His works were too loud even without the least publicity. Onyedika was a definition of talent and hard work fused together. He was just too innovative and creative for our generation.
I learned a lot from my friend. I learned how important being real is and I enjoyed seeing it through him. He taught me to love the grind and spend every time to being productive, I learned how important a strong work ethic is and how remaining positive can help us get through life’s biggest challenges. I also learned appreciation and value for others most especially neighbors and strangers, and I never hesitate to replicate his care whenever the need arises.
Indeed the curtains closed so quickly. Death snatched him away at prime, took him by force, away from the stage in a very brutal manner. Hopes and plans; results and ambitions were crashed. It took me a very long time to find him but I lost him so fast and furious. Indeed, the world may never witness his kind again.
I love you so much Dika and wish we had more time together. I will cherish all of the short great memories we had and will carry your values with me. You will be missed by all and your memory will live in us all forever.
Adieu Dikainc
